About Me

In 2012, I graduated from Spring Arbor University with a Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education. Along with this, I have a Social Studies major and an Integrated Science Minor.  I am certified to teach K-8 Self-Contained classrooms and  6-8 Social Studies and Science.

I live in Petoskey with my adorable (not bias!) 4 year old son, Ryan. He has been my motivator and encourager to become what I am today. I don't think I could have done it without him!

After working as a substitute teacher for a few years and working in an online credit recovery classroom at the high school level, I was able to land my first teaching job just after graduating with my teaching degree. I taught a 3rd and 4th grade multi-age classroom at Northwest Academy in Charlevoix. I spent one year there before moving to Concord Academy in Petoskey to teach in another 3rd and 4th multi-age room.

I am currently in my last semester of earning a Master's of Arts in Educational Technology from Michigan State University. I look forward to integrating what I continue to learn everyday from my professional learning community and utilizing my resources to create an environment in my classroom that encourages learning.

Throughout this site, you can explore work that I have created in the Michigan State MAET (Master's of Educational Technology) program. Please feel free to explore and let me know if you have any questions!
